Acura essentially serves as the performance and luxury arm of Honda.

It is a stand-alone company in its own right, but the models that it offers are generally based upon the same architecture as models offered by Honda. To help create a difference between the two brands, Acura vehicles offer better performance and fairly luxurious interiors – two things that often push cars sporting the Acura badge toward the sportier end of their respective segments. Acura does offer some models and technological advances that aren’t found on Honda vehicles, a prime example of which is the Acura NSX and its twin-turbo, hybrid V-6.
